HR World Ltd is hiring on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in the banking sector. We seek an experienced Information Systems Auditor who can provide independent assurance on the bank’s governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance across its technology and information systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in IT auditing and a passion for improving systems and risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate ICT governance, risk, and control processes to ensure effectiveness.
- Review general and application controls, including system security, backup, disaster recovery, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the adequacy of system development standards, operating procedures, and programming controls.
- Develop and implement an Annual ICT Audit Plan in line with the bank’s IT risk environment.
- Support external auditors and regulators on IS audit matters when required.
- Review IT-related projects to ensure compliance with audit standards.
- Perform data validations during system upgrades or changes.
- Provide assurance related to revenue systems and financial reporting.
- Participate in investigations, surprise audits, and special reviews.
- Work closely with other departments to enhance communication and collaboration.
- Maintain and update risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution (e.g., UDSM).
- Must hold a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an Information Systems Auditor.
- Strong ability to work independently and deliver insightful, value-added audit reports.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, risk frameworks, and governance protocols.
