About the Bursary
The Santam Bursary Programme aims to:
- Support students in critical fields such as actuarial science, data science, engineering, and agriculture
- Develop high-calibre graduates with technical skills, as well as leadership and behavioural competencies
- Contribute to South Africa’s skills development and economic growth
Fields of Study Funded
Bursaries are available to students pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Honours degree in the following areas:
- Actuarial Science
- Data Analytics / Data Science / Statistics
- Agriculture
- Civil, Geomatics, or Mechanical Engineering
- Construction
- Insurance
- Technical Accounting
- Economics / Finance / Mathematics
- Risk Management

Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
- Have an average of 65% or above in their most recent exams
- Be motivated to build a career with Santam
