We’re looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Yard Jockey to help us keep things moving smoothly in our yard and loading areas.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving trailers to and from dock doors, staging areas, and parking spots within the facility. You’ll work closely with our warehouse team to ensure everything runs efficiently and stays organized.
If you have experience operating yard trucks or similar equipment, know your way around a logistics yard, and take pride in keeping things neat, safe, and on schedule, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do
- Move trailers around the yard and position them at the right dock doors or loading zones.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to make sure loading and unloading run smoothly.
- Inspect trailers before moving them to ensure they’re safe and road-ready
- Help maintain a clean and organized yard—this includes sweeping dock areas, clearing debris, and general upkeep
- Use equipment like forklifts or pressure washers when needed
- Keep basic records of trailer movements and equipment checks
- Support landscaping and light outdoor maintenance when required (watering plants, trimming bushes, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- A valid driver’s license (CDL is a big plus, but not always required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or distribution center is a bonus.
- Comfortable using or learning to operate equipment like forklifts and yard trucks
- Able to lift to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all kinds of weather
- A good communicator who’s reliable, team-oriented, and takes safety seriously
