The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), through the Global Partnership for Education – Teacher Support Programme (GPE-TSP), has announced 694 volunteer teaching positions in primary schools across selected Local Government Authorities (LGAs) in Tanzania.
These roles are part of a national effort to strengthen the teaching workforce in areas with the highest demand for education support. This volunteer program, implemented under the Primary Teacher Allocation Protocol (P-TAP), is designed to provide recent teacher graduates with hands-on classroom experience.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following academic qualifications:

General Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens aged 43 years or younger.
- I graduated between 2015 and 2023 from a recognized teacher training college.
- Hold a valid NIDA number (National Identification Number).
- Unemployed and not previously dismissed or retired from public service due to misconduct.
- Be willing to serve in remote or underserved primary schools.
- Be free of any formal employment in government or institutions.
- Attach the following documents during the online application:
- Birth certificate
- Form IV and/or Form VI certificate
- Teacher training certificate
- NIDA ID

An Equivalent Number (EQ…) from NECTA is required for applicants who completed secondary education abroad.
